Amir Riad is the head of Investment bank in Saudi Fransi Capital since early 2022 and has led the growth of the franchise including advising on marquee ECM deals since joining including the IPOs of 2P, Jamjoom Pharma, Lummi Rental and ADES on the Main market and several high profile buy side M&A on behalf major GREs in KSA. He has 25 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience in UAE, KSA, UK, and Egypt with leading financial institutions, including ADIB, Samba, SCB, and Citigroup. Prior to Joining SFC as the head of Investment Banking, he held the role of Global head of corporate finance and investment bank in ADIB in the UAE between 2009 and 2021. He led and advised on multi-billion dollar corporate finance deals on behalf of GREs, major corporates, and FIs across the MENA. Previously, Mr. Riad held the position of Regional Head of Corporate Advisory for the MENA at Standard Chartered Bank. Earlier, Mr. Riad spent over 11 years at Citigroup and Samba, where he held several leadership positions in corporate finance and private equity, including AGM, ECM with Samba (where he advised on c USD 6.0bn of IPOs) and Citigroup Venture Capital International Investment Team, based in London where he was associated with several private equity deals in the Emerging Markets. Amir Holds MBA in financial management from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom and a Bachelor (Highest Honors) in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
