Fahad Mubarak Al Guthami is the Chief Executive Officer at American Express Saudi Arabia, one of the Kingdom’s leading digital payments solutions providers. With a proven track record of achievements, he leverages his expertise in executive, advisory, and operational management, and passion for innovation to lead the company’s strategic direction in commercial payments, global integrated networks, and the premium consumer space. His distinguished career with American Express spans over 16 years, during which he has served across several key leadership positions including head of the company’s Corporate Relations Management Group, Chief Operating Officer, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Mr. AlGuthami is an active member of the Board of Directors of several organizations traded on the Saudi stock market, including Batic Investments and Logistics Company and the Jazan Energy and Development Company. Prior to joining American Express, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Arabian Company for Safety and Security and Batic Investments and Logistics Company. Mr. AlGuthami has also served as an executive advisor to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in the United States and has successfully participated in a number of prestigious executive development programs at INSEAD Business School, the London Business School, and Harvard Business School.
