As the Chief Operating Officer at RSwitch, Jean Jacques is instrumental in shaping Rwanda's payment infrastructure. In his current role, Jean Jacques oversees the deployment of the Rwanda National Digital Payment System and the national interoperability project, as mandated by the Central Bank. His extensive experience also includes key positions at Ericsson and Equity Bank Rwanda, where he managed project performance, compliance, and strategic alliances within the digital payment’s ecosystem. He holds a master’s in business administration with a focus on Finance from Adventist University of Central Africa and a bachelor’s in information technology application in Management from the University of Rwanda. Jean Jacques’s career is marked by a commitment to driving strategic growth and operational excellence through innovative collaborations with FINTECHs, banks, government bodies, and other critical stakeholders in the payment industry.
