Rana Abdel Latif is Partner at Speedinvest responsible for further expanding it’s growth markets footprint in the MENA region. Prior to Speedinvest, Rana was at Nclude Fintech Fund and responsible for the deployment of the newly launched investing in fintech and fintech enabled startups in the MEA region. Previously, Rana spent 12+ years at Qalaa Holdings (formerly known as Citadel Capital), an African leader in infrastructure and energy. During her tenure at Qalaa, Rana led several M&A and financing transactions including the acquisition and divestiture of Qena Cement (EGP 700 million), divestiture of ASEC Minya Cement and ASEC Ready Mix (EGP 1.0 billion), as well as raising debt and equity project finance from DFIs and private investors for portfolio company investment. She was also actively managing portfolio companies within the cement, transportation, mining and waste management industries. Rana also worked at Beltone Asset Management as a banking Analyst for North Africa and Levant as well as an Analyst for the equity capital market division at ABN Amro Rothschild in London.
