Chief Fintech Officer | Financial Services Agency - Japan

I am leading digital innovation initiatives within the financial sector as the Chief FinTech Officer at the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA). My role extends to international AML/CFT policy-making through serving as the Co-chair of the Virtual Asset Task Force at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Before stepping into my current position, I dedicated myself to advancing the understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance mechanisms in decentralized financial systems as a Senior Fellow at the Cyber SMART Research Center, Georgetown University, from July 2019 to June 2021. With a decade-long career at JFSA, my experiences span from policy development to regulatory oversight. Against this backdrop, I am keen to foster innovation while ensuring the security and integrity of financial systems.
